I’m a newlywed-wife, and a recent implant to the big city of Kansas City, Missouri. Wyatt and I got married on July 9, 2011 in Sedalia, where we were high school sweethearts, and took off on a whirlwind roadtrip honeymoon.
Now we’re home, he’s back at work and I’m a freelance writer, blogger, and amateur home-maker. But that’s just my day job. By night, I’m an aspiring author looking for a career as…well…something.
So while we’re figuring out how to get by, how to get around, and mostly just how to get used to this crazy, awesome life together that makes up a marriage, I’ll share stories, adventures, lessons, laughs, and hopefuly, a whole-lotta-love!
I’m not sure where this first adventure together will end up, if I’ll ever get a full-time job, or learn to like putting away clean laundry. But this is my life, married life, as a newlywed wife.

I came across your blog on the nest.com and I will be checking back often! I got married last October and am still very much in the newly wed phase and I so get so many of your posts!
Keep sharing!
Great! And thanks for reading! I love the feedback, so thanks for the comments as well!
Your site is too cute. I’ll be popping in more often. ^^
Great! And thanks for reading and commenting! I’m glad you enjoy our “adventures.”
Hey,
My husband and I got married on June 25, 2011. I enjoy reading your blog because our lives are so similar: I was an English major and went through the job-hunting/housewife/boredom phase, I moved to a big city, I get lost all the time, and I’ve had trip fever today! So keep it up
Wow! Our lives are similar. Any tips for the job hunt? Beating the boredom during the day?
Thanks for reading and commenting!
Nice blog! Good reading and have a wonderful marriage!
Thanks for stopping by! (And for the well wishes!)
Kudos on the blog, keep it up so we can all either learn how to do it right, or re-live our own early married years.
Thanks! It’s certainly an adventure!
You’re great! I’m a newlywed myself (June 2011

Hey! I don’t even remember how, but I stumbled across your blog and I love it! I’ve been reading back through your old posts from the past year and have loved reading about your thoughts on being a newlywed, because I am a newlywed myself. In fact, I also got married on July 9th, 2011!
I find myself thinking so many of the same things you have about several things….finding the right job, the right church, and getting used to the whole marriage thing. So glad I found ya!
Great! I’m glad you found me, too! How cool that we share a wedding day! I’ve found so many things in common with readers, and it’s great to connect that way. And thanks for the comment! I love feedback, so please write back often!

Everything you’ve said from finding the right job, to finding the right church, to just getting used to this whole marriage thing is spot-on. So glad I found ya!
Whoops, didn’t realize it worked the first time. Sorry for the awkwardly paraphrased duplicate…!
No worries!
